About us

Highcliffe Hawks Youth Football Club has been established since 1978. Our teams play in the Bournemouth Youth Football league and the New Forest Girls League. The club provides local children with the opportunity to play football. The organisation’s objective is to promote and facilitate youth football in the local Highcliffe and Christchurch communities. We aim to provide local children with the opportunity to attend regular training, coaching, tournaments and play league football matches. The organisation is run on a voluntary basis.. The team’s ground is Wingfields.

We are an FA Charter Standard Club,  so  what is FA Charter Standard?

Launched in 2001, the FA Charter Standard Programme is The FA’s accreditation scheme open to all grassroots clubs and leagues. It aims to raise standards in the grassroots game and support the development of clubs and leagues.

How did we go about earning Charter Standard accreditation? Well, with the support of our local County FA,  our club can demonstrate we offer well-run and sustainable football for all.  We had to demonstrate that we  prioritise qualified coaching and safeguarding, as well as the values of The FA’s Respect campaign as part of their game. Some facility related criteria also had be met.

Now that we have  The FA Charter Standard accreditation we are also challenged to maintain high standards and, where appropriate, to improve and progress to new levels.

The accreditation makes a positive difference to the way our club is run and to people’s enjoyment of football.
